At this time of the year we usually invite a professional Photography Team to take class photos. This is a long-standing tradition at ESM, which we want to continue this year, despite our school closure. Therefore we are kindly asking all students to send us a picture of themselves doing their favourite activity during the school closure. Examples might include a selfie of you reading, photos of you drawing or crafting, spending time helping your family etc. Please send a good quality photo of your child with their name and form to your Form Tutor by April 10.

Dear All,                 Three months into the new Decade of the 2020s and we are part of a world which almost no-one could have dreamed possible. The Government is acting very promptly and sensibly in their prime function: protecting the people of this country. And this has inevitably left schools like ours with choices and decisions to make. Please, though, do not for a moment think that we are unaware of or not sensitive to the big challenges that all Mongolian families are facing in terms of living and living space, business, travel, economics and the general worries posed by the Emergency.                 I wanted to bring to your attention some of the ideas coming out of ESM to help resist these problems. The Academic and Tuition Fees issues I…

Dear Parents, We are into March and in uncharted waters where the Coronavirus is concerned. At present, in common with all other Ulaanbaatar Schools, we are closed until 30 March. All of our Staff are at School and, as you know, Form Tutors and Subject Teachers are in daily contact with their Students. The On-line Teaching continues and we have been broadly pleased with the commitment shown by Students across the School. The System is improving all the time and we are working on some new Video Lessons (to appear on our Website) and some non-academic activities to supplement the Programme. As far as we can, we must all try to vary and enliven the daily routine. Boredom is the enemy! One exciting development is the new ESM Internal and…

The top three teams of each district qualifies for the City Tournament where over 105 schools compete to become the Champion for the District Tournament. This year, the ESM football teams overshadowed the achievement made last year at the District Tournament. All 7 teams reached the Semi-Finals. Five teams of ESM made it to the top 3 and will compete at the City Tournament in February. No other school has achieved such success at the district level and we are so proud of little champs and wish the best luck on the upcoming City Tournament.

Dear All,  ESM returned to School on Monday in high spirits after a proper break; students, staff (and parents) eager to get started for a busy term ahead. Our Grades 11 and 12 are already out at the Mongolian Kuwaiti Conservation Centre on their 2-week residential intensive study course.
