GMIT

We were blessed with an exciting opportunity for Years 11 and 12 to spend two weeks using the facilities at the German Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology University in Nailakh. Staff here at ESM produced an Intensive Study Program for our students to make the most of the facilities offered by the university; turning what could be a slow January into a very productive and intensive two weeks. “The weekly schedule guides us to be balanced with work and leisure, noise and silence” -Second Blog, Yesui (Year 11), Yalguun (Year 12). Students were encouraged to become young adults, independent learners and to have a decent balanced life whilst at the University. The Break allowed opportunities for two staff get-togethers to discuss ambitions for ESM and the 20:20 Vision Project and for 30 of our Teachers and Admin to update skills and knowledge on First Aid Courses at the School.             We were also able to complete the GMIT Study Course at Nalaikh for Grades 11 and 12 Students, a very positive development in the view of teachers and pupils. And food for thought as to how we might further resist the likely challenge of winter disruption in 2020.             Lots of welcomes for our Grade 12 University Entrants over…

20 August 2018 Dear Parents, Now Enrolling, as the Poster in the Front Quad proclaims; and it is certainly true that ESM has been very busy receiving over the last 3 weeks: with our largest Roll in the School’s history and 200 new students joining us. With the expansion, we are watching numbers on a daily basis, especially at Pre-School, but at several other points, before deciding whether we need to create some new classes (and, of course, new classrooms). We are also currently working at some building plans for execution over the next few months. July and August saw the usual maintenance works and a highly successful 4 weeks Summer School. Recently we have received our external Exam Results, with some impressive clusters of Grades in IGCSE and an…
