In the British style of House system, every student and staff member belongs to a House, a smaller group within the wider school community. The Houses form the foundation for many aspects of school life, including competitions, leadership opportunities, and pastoral care.

Each house consists of following leaders:
- Head of House – Teaching staff
- House Captain – Grade 11 student (1 male)
- House Captain – Grade 11 student (1 female)
- House Vice-captain – Grade 10 student (1 male)
- House Vice-captain – Grade 10 student (1 female)

Individual House Points
Each term, every teacher and form tutor will receive 10 House Points to award to any student for, and not exclusive to:

House Cup Award
Twice per year house points are totalled up, and the ESM House Cup is awarded to the House with the most points. This is done during a school wide lunch where we gather in Houses to acknowledge outstanding, personal and House wide results.
House Point Collection
Every Friday, students exchange their house point slips for a token.

House Recognition
House Recognition takes place in House Assemblies during Terms 2 and 4 and House members nominate students for House Recognition and their contributions will be recognised by Heads of House and House Captains.
25 House Points – Certificate and recognition in House Assembly and School Gift
50 House Points – Certificate, recognition in House Assembly and School Gift
100 House Points – Certificate, recognition in House Assembly, House Emblem and School Gift
