Online Safety and Digital Well-being

At The English School of Mongolia, the safeguarding and protection of every child extends to the online world. We recognise that digital life is a key part of our students’ learning,
communication, and personal development. Our approach ensures that children and young people are safe, confident, and respectful users of technology.

Our Commitment

Online safety is embedded throughout our curriculum, pastoral care, and school culture. We teach students how to:

• Recognise risks and make safe choices online.
• Use technology respectfully and responsibly.
• Protect their privacy and personal information.

• Respond appropriately to online bullying, harmful content, or inappropriate contact.
• Seek help and report concerns to trusted adults at school or at home.

Our staff receive regular online safety training as part of their safeguarding responsibilities, and all digital platforms used within school are risk-assessed and monitored to ensure a safe learning environment.

Support for Parents and Carers

We understand that technology evolves rapidly, and parents and carers play a vital role in keeping children safe online. To help families navigate this ever-changing landscape, we
have created an Online Safety & Well-being Hub with trusted international resources and expert advice.

Promoting Well-being in a Digital World

Digital wellbeing is at the heart of our safeguarding vision. We aim to help children balance their online and offline lives, build resilience, and use technology for learning, creativity, and connection — not harm.
