Dear Parents,

The Summer Term has started its 12 week run with news of a most successful ESMUN Conference held at the School last weekend involving delegates from the top international schools in UB and plenty of medals in the World Scholars’ Cup held yesterday. Prior to that, ESM Players returned from its Thailand Tour after 4 Performances of Carousel on 4 very different stages at FOBISIA Schools and our Gymnasts took very creditable Sixth and Eleventh places in an International Open Competition in Ulan Ude, Russia.

We are already into a run of assessments and preparations ahead of IGCSE, IB diploma and Mongolian State Exams in late April and May. The Junior School has a full term underway too, with highlights including the Kharkhorin Trip for Grade 5 in April and the ambitious Circle of Life Drama Production being performed 3 times in June.

There will be 2 days of Open Days on the ESM Theme for next year: 2020 Vision – over Friday 12 and Saturday 13 April – the Friday showcasing the School at Work and the Saturday illustrating the Larger Life of ESM activities and interests. More details over the next two weeks.

Next week alongside the normal run of the scheduled academic programme, we are having a Professional Development Refresher Course for Teachers, TA’s, and Admin Staff. During the school days, Pret-A-Portrait will be returning to photograph students, families, the School at large as they did last year and our main Guest Speaker is Dr. Mark Evans, CEO of Penta International, Inspection and Educational Services Provider to many Schools and countries all over the world.

We have a rival now in the weekly bulletin published on Mondays which started at the end of last term and you can follow the multi-faceted world of ESM on our Facebook pages ( and through the Calendar for Term 4 (see attached).

We look forward to seeing you at some of the many events over the next three months.
