9 January 2018
ESM has returned to School for Term 3 with a busy 8 weeks ahead. We have just hosted the Mongolian National Futsal Tournament organized by Mongolian Football Federation at the Weekend and our U10, U12 and U14 Girls Teams performed well.
There are many academic milestones to reach this Term as Exams approach and Coursework Deadlines loom. On the Calendar are Parents’ Evenings for all Grades in Week 8.
Our Senior Students are running two big Events: ESM UN Conference on 20 and 21 January and the Tedx Gathering on 10 February. There is the usual International School Fixture List with Basketball as the main sport this Term. Auditions and Rehearsals for the April production of EVITA are underway. There will be a short break for Tsagaan Sar from 16-19 February.
Positive Living and Positive Education are important components of the day-to-day Programme at ESM and this Spring, we are running a Wellness Week with Talks and Sessions and Interactive Discussions with Students, Teachers and Parents with our Wellness Coach, Clive Leach, travelling over from England. This is in week 4 of Term starting 29 January. We will send out further details soon. Linked to this is a visit in the same week by a British Photographic Team, Pret a Portrait, who will be taking Photographs of every aspect of ESM, including Family Sittings on Sunday 28 January; again details to follow.
We have seen both of these visitors in action and they will, I am sure, provide a stimulating change of routine Mid-Term for us all. On the Wellness theme, please think about sensible Life-styles for your Children especially over these winter months. Plenty of sleep and food and some respite from the ever-present phones and i-pads: sensible advice for us all!
The Calendar will be on the Website now and, as always, we look forward to seeing you at various events over the coming weeks.
Happy New Year!
